School for Community Foundations Program is a program implemented by the ISAR Ednannia with the financial support of Charles Stewart Mott Foundation (USA).
The goal of the program is to support the development of community foundations in Ukraine in order to increase their role is solving local problems and to secure their future activities.
Major components of the program include:
- Grant component (grant support of civil initiatives aimed at the development and enhancement of a community foundation’s role as an efficient instrument for the development of local communities);
- Educational component (support of improvement of community foundations’ professional level in Ukraine – providing consultations on community foundation activities, training of Ukrainian community foundations in Ukraine and abroad; training programs);
- Network component (support of development of community foundations network in Ukraine by encouraging connections and cooperation between involved organizations and people);
- Informational component (support of activation of informational exchange between all interested in the development of community foundations in Ukraine).
Key activities of School for Community Foundations:
- Development of methodological practical recommendations on community foundations’ creation and development, and their adaptation to national realities;
- Complex, consistent, and systematic training for CFs;
- Methodological support of CFs (coaching, mentorship) on regular basis;
- Creation of pilot community foundations that can serve as showcase examples in the future.
